ASIAN GARDEN

After having abandoned watercolors for more than 5 years, I have decided to return to my roots. While I enjoy working in oils, I have learned that I spent many years mastering a relationship with watercolor and paper; and, this understanding enhanced my work in oils - particularly oils on paper. It seems that recently, I have maxed out my capacity to work with oils without returning to my some of my fundamental strengths.

This work was completed after returning from a trip years ago where I worked on several sketches on the plane. I was interested in the patterns the land created from the air.
